KAMABOO MATTRESSES
1. Guarantor
The guarantor is FÁBRICA DE COLCHONES O SANGAL, S.L.U., Tax ID (NIF) B70321104, with registered address at Polígono de O Sangal, Edificio B (Fábrica), s/n, Cerdedo-Cotobade, Pontevedra, Spain. Email: hola@kamaboo.com. WhatsApp channel available on the website.
KAMABOO is the brand under which the mattresses covered by this guarantee are marketed.
2. Relationship with the legal guarantee
This commercial guarantee is in addition to the legal guarantee of conformity and does not limit or replace the rights the consumer has against the trader where there is a lack of conformity.
The consumer is entitled to the remedies provided by law against the seller, free of charge where applicable, including the necessary shipping, transport, labour or material costs to bring the goods into conformity.
3. Products covered
This guarantee applies exclusively to KAMABOO mattresses whose product sheet, advertising or contractual documentation expressly states “10-year commercial guarantee”. It does not extend to pillows, bedding, protectors, covers sold separately or other accessories, unless expressly stated for a specific product.
4. Start, duration and territorial scope
The commercial guarantee begins on the date the mattress is delivered and lasts for 10 years.
Its territorial scope covers the destinations to which KAMABOO markets and delivers the product through its official channels, without prejudice to the statutory rights the consumer has according to their place of residence.
5. Binding nature of the guarantee and of advertising
This statement and the associated advertising available before or at the time the contract is concluded are binding on the guarantor. If the advertising contains more favourable conditions than this statement, the guarantee shall be binding under the advertised conditions, unless the advertising was corrected before the contract was concluded in the same or a comparable way.
6. What the commercial guarantee covers
Throughout the 10-year term, FÁBRICA DE COLCHONES O SANGAL, S.L.U. shall be directly liable to the consumer for manufacturing or structural defects covered by this guarantee that objectively affect the functionality of the mattress.
Where a covered defect is confirmed, the guarantor will repair or replace the mattress or the affected component, as technically appropriate. The collection and return needed to carry out a confirmed claim will be borne by KAMABOO.
The commercial guarantee is not a promise that the mattress will keep all its aesthetic, feel or comfort properties unchanged for ten years; it covers the defects defined in this statement.
7. Variations and changes that do not in themselves constitute a manufacturing defect
Owing to the nature of the materials and the use of a mattress, normal variations may occur that do not affect its functionality and do not in themselves amount to a manufacturing defect.
These may include, provided they are consistent with the normal evolution of the model and there is no structural failure: initial settling of padding and comfort layers; a superficial body impression; gradual changes in feel or firmness; subjective differences in comfort; slight variations in height, length, width, texture, shade or finish; and visual, odour or texture variations typical of natural or recently manufactured materials.
The assessment will take into account the model, composition, age, use, maintenance and specific characteristics of the mattress. This statement does not set general numerical tolerances that are not previously supported by the model's technical specification.
8. Damage and circumstances not covered by the commercial guarantee
The commercial guarantee does not cover damage that does not originate from a manufacturing or structural defect.
Excluded from this commercial cover are, among others, damage caused by: cuts, burns, punctures, tears or foreign objects; animals; heat sources; stains or soiling; liquids or fluids; moisture or condensation; improper storage; mould with an environmental, storage or ventilation cause; folding, rolling, dragging or handling incompatible with the model; house moves or transport after delivery carried out by third parties; modifications or repairs not made by KAMABOO; and abnormal use or use other than intended.
These exclusions only define the scope of the additional commercial guarantee and may never be used to deprive the consumer of the rights they have if there is a lack of conformity covered by the legal guarantee.
9. Mattress base and support
The mattress must be used on a stable, firm, flat, ventilated base of suitable dimensions and in good condition, compatible with the characteristics of the model.
This commercial guarantee does not cover damage caused by a base that is deformed, broken, insufficiently supported, of the wrong size or clearly incompatible with the mattress.
Where a model requires additional support conditions, slat spacing, central support or other technical specifications, these will be indicated on its product sheet or instructions and will form part of the normal conditions of use.
10. Use, ventilation and maintenance
The mattress must be used and cared for in accordance with the instructions provided for the relevant model, in adequate conditions of ventilation and hygiene and avoiding continuous exposure to moisture or liquids.
Rotating or flipping should only be carried out where the design of the mattress calls for it. Failure to follow a use or maintenance instruction may only exclude commercial cover where there is a causal link between that failure and the damage claimed.
A mattress protector may be recommended to preserve hygiene and reduce the risk of liquid damage, but not using one does not automatically void this guarantee. However, damage directly caused by liquids, stains, moisture or other external causes will be excluded from the commercial cover.
11. Hygiene, stains and inspection
The presence of stains, soiling or signs of use does not in itself void the consumer's statutory rights or any possible cover.
However, damage resulting from liquids, fluids, moisture or lack of proper care is not covered by this commercial guarantee where it is the cause of the issue. Where the condition of the product reasonably prevents a safe or technically reliable inspection, KAMABOO may request cleaning or preparation measures or additional information before assessing the claim.
12. How to make a guarantee claim
The customer must contact KAMABOO at hola@kamaboo.com or via the WhatsApp channel available on the website, providing the order or invoice number, identification of the mattress, a description of the issue and sufficient photographs for an initial assessment.
KAMABOO may request additional photographs of the whole mattress, of the affected area and of the base used, as well as measurements, videos or other information reasonably necessary to determine the cause of the issue.
13. Assessment of the issue
KAMABOO may carry out a documentary assessment, request further information or, where necessary, arrange an inspection of the mattress.
The decision on cover will be based on the nature of the issue, the condition of the product, its age, model, composition, conditions of use and the relationship between the damage observed and the causes covered or excluded by this guarantee.
14. Repair or replacement
Where a defect covered by this commercial guarantee is confirmed, the guarantor shall be directly liable to the consumer by way of repair or replacement throughout the term of the guarantee, in accordance with article 127 of the revised text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users.
The remedy may concern the affected component or the whole mattress where technically appropriate. This cover is without prejudice to any remedies available under the legal guarantee of conformity.
15. Provision and retention of the guarantee statement
This statement will be provided to the consumer on a durable medium, at least in Spanish, at the latest at the time the mattress is delivered. It is recommended that it be kept together with the order confirmation or invoice.
16. Applicable legislation in force
- Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November, in particular articles 120, 121 and 127, consolidated text in force, latest update published in the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE) on 28/02/2026.
- Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety, insofar as it applies to product identification, safety, information and traceability.
